Introducing Rummikub Black

Baked enough banana bread to feed a small army? Can’t face another Zoom quiz? We know the feeling. A lot of us have gotten lockdown fatigue, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find sparks of joy in the little things and find comfort in wholesome pastimes.  While we may be a bit biased, we love to unwind with a board game. One of our favourites is Rummikub.

The game has a rich heritage dating back over 70 years ago, when inventor, Ephraim Hertzano, handmade each Rummikub tile set out of wood in his back garden. He started by selling the sets door-to-door for many years until eventually licensing the game to other countries. By 1977, Rummikub had become a bestselling game in the United States. In 1980, Rummikub won “game of the year” award in Germany, and the rest is history.

While we love the Classic version, new for this year is Rummikub Black and this edition certainly makes an impression. It features the same great gameplay that Rummikub is known for, with an even more premium and luxe feel. We don’t know about you, but right now we’re finding solace in our luxury home comforts, from weighted blankets to beautifully scented candles, so why should our games shelf be any different?

The highly stylised take on Rummikub is housed in a black tin and the tiles, racks and mat all have the same satisfying black and primary colour palette. The set is available now and is the perfect pick-me-up if you’re looking to treat a tabletop fan, find something new to play on games night or give your coffee table an instant makeover!

Your next Zoom callers may even notice your new addition in the background! We look forward to seeing your #shelfie, because right now staying in is the new big night out.
